Productive organizations in Coloso to boost activities alongside CRAMSA

In collaboration with the Women of the Sea Union and San Pedro de Coloso, CRAMSA has established a joint working framework that will provide funding and technical support for the development of projects to enhance their productive activities.

This initiative will enable these two groups from the Coloso cove to undertake various projects in areas such as Training and Education, Implementation and Infrastructure, and Environmental Promotion and Development, thereby fostering their growth.

Regarding the agreement, Hugo Lecaros, CRAMSA’s Manager of Corporate Affairs, commented, ‘As a company, we are very grateful for the opportunity to work together with these organizations, based on a collaborative and transparent relationship.’

The executive added, ‘In line with our sustainability policy, we believe that together, significant progress can be made and a positive impact can be generated on people.’

Local Development

The signing of the Agreement drives a productive fund that will bring to life initiatives by members of the mentioned groups, as explained by Nilda Ibáñez, president of the Women of the Sea Union, a guild of 23 women aiming to enhance themselves through various training sessions for their members.

“Reaching this agreement after several months of work is very significant for our organization. We are happy because there is a relationship based on transparency and mutual respect, and I believe we can achieve many accomplishments,” expressed Ibáñez.

The leader added, “Our projects directly benefit our members and contribute to our organization’s development because we want to continue growing alongside CRAMSA.”

Similarly, Marta García, president of the San Pedro de Coloso Union – comprising 22 active members – emphasized, “This boost signifies growth for the union, especially at a time when we have faced difficult situations. Moreover, contributing to better implementation for our members is a significant support,” referring to the acquisition of diving suits that will facilitate work at sea during winter, among other activities.

Working with productive organizations in Coloso represents CRAMSA’s ongoing commitment to sustainable local development, marking a new milestone in the company’s history of collaborative work by establishing strong relationships with communities in the Antofagasta region.
